FAQ

You sell your products through Zazzle and CafePress; does that mean the designs aren’t yours?

Nope; the designs are 100% ours. Our talented staff designs the images you see on our products and makes sure they are picture perfect before we add them to our Zazzle and CafePress stores for customers to buy.

Why do you see selling gifts for readers, writers, and poets as a way to promote literacy?

We firmly believe that there is something mission from mainstream America: Literacy awareness. What’s one of the biggest ways to promote awareness about a brand, events, or a product? Look no further than your t-shirt, your coffee mug, or your name brand purse. Some of the biggest brands (and causes) out there became popular because people saw their friends, family, or neighbors wearing/using that brand or product.

If that seems laughable, just think about this: Where would breast cancer awareness be without the pink ribbon?

But how many times do you see your friends or neighbors wearing a shirt that says “Read” on it? Almost never. And because of this, kids (who are constantly inundated with all kinds of messages but literacy) and many adults let literacy fall into the background of their life.

While it might sound cheesy, having a daily reminder of literacy (whether it be on a coffee mug or a t-shirt) reminds us and those around us that literacy is important. We didn’t see a company filling this need, so we decided to step up and make literacy-related products ourselves.

You sell used books, but do you also sell new books?

Yes; we definitely sell new books as well as used books. The amount will vary depending on our current inventory level, but we sell new books that are gift quality.

Do you really gift-wrap each book you sell?

Yes; whether it be used or new, we gift-wrap each and every book we sell.

While some companies might see it as wasted hours, it is important to us to not only provide great service and quality books that match the description we list, but we genuinely want to brighten the day of our customers.

How can I submit an article or book review for potential publication on your site?

For that, you want to head over to our Submissions page.

Do you have a forum?

No, but we have thought about it. For now, we’re sticking with the social networking route via Twitter and Facebook.

You say that you offer free wallpapers for readers and writers; what’s the catch?

No catch. They really are free. Go ahead and check them out for yourself. Just one of the ways that we say we love our readers and customers.

If I know of a book event coming up, will you put it on your Calendar?

Yes; as long as it is in a major city (think Chicago, San Fransisco, D.C.) we would be happy to add it to our Calendar.
