Book Review Submission
In addition to major literary genres like Fiction, Non-Fiction, Mystery, and Fantasy, we are open to publishing reviews of smaller genres like Poetry, Anthologies, Plays, and Essays.
We do not limit reviews to newly released titles; we will accept reviews of titles that have been published at nearly any point in time as long as the review meets all other qualifications.
Book Review Qualifications
Reviews should be between 350 and 750 words. Each review will undergo editing for grammar and clarity before it is published on HesedBooks.com.
We are open to publishing book reviews by both established and beginning reviewers, with the expectation that reviewers offer a clear voice and a good grasp of the title being reviewed.
We are especially interested in reviews of indie books, niche books, or books that haven’t received widespread attention in the mainstream book or publishing industry. Some examples include humor books, craft books, cultural books, art books, and gifts books.
How to Submit
We accept submissions by email only. If you are submitting a book review, title your email “Book Review Submission.” Emails not titled “Book Review Submission” will not be read.
The email should include the following items:
- A brief bio
- Why you chose to cover the particular book you’ve written the review about
- The book review you are submitting for potential publication (pasted into the body of the email; no attachments will be accepted)
- Your contact information (must include best email to reach you at)
We respond within 5-7 business days of your submission (excluding weekends and holidays) via email only.

Compensation
If your book review is chosen for publication on HesedBooks.com, you will be given a byline and a bio statement (up to 150 words) at the end of the book review where we will promote your book, blog, website, product, or event.
You will retain rights to your content, with the option of publishing your article on your own blog or website 30 days after it has appeared on HesedBooks.com.
If you have additional questions about the terms of compensation outlined above, please email us with “Book Review Compensation Question” as the title. Emails not titled “Book Review Compensation Question” will not be read.
